A forest type normally dominated by tree shrubs of the Ericaceae family and generally occurring from 1,500 meters above sea level. Also known as Montane Ericaceous Forest. Note: In Sabah, this forest type occurs at elevation between 2,500 to 3,500 meters above sea level.The elevation above sea level where this forest changes to montane forest differs from one mountain to another. The recognizable altitudinal zonation in Peninsular Malaysia is obscured in Sabah and Sarawak
